Do you ever feel like you’re in a “dry spell” with clients? You KNOW your work is transformative, and you have the results to back it up. So why aren’t more people buying?!
This client is a service provider who came to me in a “dry spell,” where she hadn’t signed a new client in 5 months.
She joined my marketing incubator, Marketing, Magnified, because she knew that her “biggest gap has been being able to convey that expertise in a way that speaks to the *right* people at the *right* time, without needing to convince, so they sell themselves on [her] services.” And she joined even though, in her words, the program was at a “very busy time of year for [her] personally” with holidays, children, and more.
Within 2 weeks of starting the program, she closed a new client in a Phase 3 Offer, and shortly after upsold them with ease into a new Phase 6 Offer (high ticket)!
Within 3 months, she had shifted her offers, messaging, and marketing to all align with the 7 Phase Transformational Journey, and she sold out her 1:1—with a pay in full client, no less! As she said, “It’s like something finally unlocked!”
The Path Toward Sustainable Success
Sometimes clients who have already had “bigger” months (e.g. 5-figure+ months) enter a phase where they start to rethink everything they’ve been doing: how they’ve been speaking about their offers, how they’re structuring their offers, how they’re spending their time, even the type of work they’ve been doing or the audience they’ve been working with!
This often happens because they realize that what got them here isn’t what they ultimately want to take them to their next-level of sustainable success, so now they have to take a few steps back and rework their foundations to ensure they’re still aligned.
This client joined a live round of Marketing, Magnified—a messaging and marketing-focused program—but took the lessons way beyond that and used them to rework her offers, too.
Even though she initially had doubts about her ability to find her ideal people, she dove into the trainings, submitted content for 1:1 feedback, and was willing to be a “mad scientist” and make a mess along the way. She also has consistently shown up for Marketing, Magnified Office Hours and other additional trainings I’ve offered, where she always asks amazing and in-depth questions—and inevitably takes swift action based off of my answers and feedback.
Learning about the 7 Phase Transformational Journey was truly her biggest “lightbulb” moment, and her biggest areas of growth were in:
- Learning to sell chocolate, not broccoli—aka focus her content on the things that her people already think they want and need (chocolate), instead of all of the things she knew they needed (broccoli). This was big for her, because without being able to communicate the transformation her clients wanted, she couldn’t make new sales!
- Shifting her offers to align with the 7 Phase Transformational Journey, and create offers that therefore position her Phase 6 offer as the logical “next step” from her Phase 3 offers. They say the easiest way to get a client is to keep a client, and this strategy alone has massively increased her Customer Lifetime Value!
- Learning how to recognize a Phase 3 versus Phase 6 person, and sell them the appropriate offer. This meant no more getting on sales calls with people who were just “window shopping” and finally getting to use her time even more strategically to sell to the people who didn’t need convincing on the value of her work.
- Aligning her messaging with her offers in the right phase of the 7 Phase Transformational Journey, so that she could attract in the right people who were truly ready to buy each of her offers. As she said, “All my phase 3 offers are for phase 3 people but offering phase 6 transformations. NO WONDER it’s not working!”
Overall, she committed to the process (even the messy bits), she took responsibility for her own success, she showed up consistently to our trainings and other avenues of support, and she did the implementation work alongside the inner work so that she could sustainably expand her visibility, impact, and income while creating consistent 5-figure months!

- She’s raised her prices across the board, and continues selling her packages and offers with even more ease.
