To my community and clients who worked with and learned from me when I was using money-as-the-intended-result/outcome/goal messaging (e.g. “your first or next $10k+ cash month”), whether you enjoyed your experience working with/learning from me or not, I apologize for the harm that this very likely caused.

The stress. The feelings of not being good enough. The fear that because you’re not reaching the stated goal, especially when other people around you are, something might be wrong with you. The conflicting feelings when you actually are growing and expanding and reaching some not insignificant goals that are 100% worthy of celebrating, but because it wasn’t “the” goal they all began to pale in comparison.

I know that I can’t go back and change the past. But I can learn from my mistakes and do better moving forward. I’m only sorry that I didn’t see this sooner and that I caused harm in the process of me learning this lesson.

I’m intentionally being very vocal about having made this shift away from money-as-the-intended-result/outcome/goal messaging because I feel that I am uniquely positioned to speak to it in a way that people who ARE currently using that type of messaging can really hear. I’ve been there, done that, and so I quite literally cannot speak to it with judgment (otherwise I’d be judging my own self), but rather can speak to it with a gentle call for all of us as an industry to move beyond this approach.

I released a podcast episode this past week talking about the 4 reasons why I no longer use specific money results in my messaging. I’m proud of that episode, but I also wish I would have taken even more ownership of the harm I caused through using this messaging rather than simply speaking about it from a present-day perspective. It’s literally through my experience using that messaging, and thus your experience on the receiving end of that messaging, that I was able to learn this lesson and make this shift.

So again, I’m sorry, truly, from the bottom of my heart. I’m also deeply grateful for those of you who have allowed me to now make this shift and do so in a very public (very messy) way. I’m also open to deeper conversation about any of it, including hearing anything that you would like to share with me about your experience of me using that money-as-the-intended-result/outcome/goal messaging, and I will take full responsibility for the part I played in whatever outcomes or experiences that created for you. You can reach out by emailing me at hello[at]wholecomedia.com to chat more.

Thank you for reading this, and thank you for continuing to be here, part of this community. I do not take that lightly, and I am truly grateful for each of you 💛

While we’ve already made changes to our public-facing messaging & marketing…

We’re still working on removing the money-as-the-intended-outcome messaging from some of our courses and freebies.

Specifically:

  • Niche Unleashed ($297)
  • Marketing Magnified ($997)
  • Powerful Offers That Transform (free)
  • 10+ Strategies to Get New Leads (free)

(If you are someone who has access to the course, 5 Weeks to 5+ Leads, please know that we will not be making updates to this course as it is now retired.)

There are also a few places inside of EXPAND where this messaging remains, though we are currently working to remedy those.

While we do not have a specific timeline for the updates to be made to the 4 courses and freebies mentioned above, they are an early 2024 priority, and we will continue to update our community as those changes are completed.

Thanks for reading and being here as we continue to adjust everything in our business to better align with our values.
